Why you should buy a carabiner key ring
If you're like most people, your keys weigh heavily in your pockets or in your bag. You probably have close to a dozen keys for all sorts of doors, vehicles and security access purposes. It's probably the case that you have keys whose function entirely escapes you. This is extremely common. Many people collect all sorts of keys for their key rings, even though they will only use them rarely, if at all. For this reason it's a great idea to ensure that your keys are organized. After all, no one wants to spend several minutes hunting through their keys to find the right one for a particular lock. Key rings are a great way to help you sort out your keys. They can help you divide your keys into different groups. These might include house keys, work keys, and car keys. However, one problem with traditional key rings is that they can be difficult to get on and off a key chain. No doubt you've suffered from a sore thumb or a torn fingernail as a result of trying to get a particular key ring off your keys. You've probably also had the problem where a different ring entirely to the one you intended comes off, leaving with a mess of keys on your hands. If you've found yourself in this situation, you might want to consider buying a carabiner key ring. A carabiner is a piece of equipment that is frequently used by rock climbing enthusiasts. It's designed to clip on and off very quickly, but is very sturdy to use. Quality of design isn't sacrificed for ease of use, which can be a problem with some other designs. A carabiner is generally shaped like a D, or like an oval with squarish sides. One of the long faces of the oval has a metal hinge that can be pushed inwards if you want to release the carabiner. However, the hinge can't be pushed outwards, meaning that it's incredibly strong, and can't be opened unless you decide that you want to open it. Carabiners are known for being quick-release objects that are easy to use, and if they weren't strong and sturdy, they certainly wouldn't be the key choice of rock climbers! A carabiner key ring can help save you a lot of time. If you're a runner, for example, you don't want to run with your entire set of keys jangling on your pocket. Instead, you can ensure that only the keys that you absolutely need are placed on your carabiner key ring. Then you can simply remove the carabiner from the rest of your set of keys and take this on your run with you. Once you've finished your run, you can easily slip it back on to your main set of keys. The whole process will take seconds rather than minutes, and is simple and easy. |
